Unusual find of a cloth Pueblo storyteller dressed in traditional Navajo style. She is holding 10 babies in front with 3 children climbing on her and an infant in a cradleboard strapped on her back. She is wearing a traditional Navajo "imitation" Squash Blossom Necklace. The grandmother is cradling her babies in a colorful geometric-patterned trade blanket. It is an unusual find in that most storytellers are ceramic! An exceptional piece in Excellent condition which is all hand sewn! What a wonderful conversation piece. It says Navajo Nation and a signature which usually is a family of artisans on the bottom. 14.50" H. by 7" W. by 6.50" D.
